Molding Memories into Clay
Striking the Rhythm of Our Original Heartbeat
Through the transformative journey of fire and flame
every step moves toward the light.
The percussion theater Mud premiered worldwide at the end of 2019 and was restaged in January 2021 as the Ju Percussion Group’s 35th Anniversary representative production. With its heartfelt simplicity and innovative approach, the work offered audiences a rich and deeply moving experience, receiving enthusiastic acclaim.
At the end of 2025, on the eve of the Ju Percussion Group’s transformation into “2.0” and its upcoming 40th anniversary, the third staging of Mud carries special significance. It is a powerful rebirth — an extensively revised and elevated version that, while staying true to its original spirit, evolves into an exploration of “finding one’s own voice and form.”
A lump of clay, once kneaded and fired, becomes a vessel capable of holding light.
This time, let rhythm awaken memory, let sound flow into the most tender cracks of the heart — each beat a burning trial, transforming once more into eternal brilliance.
