Lu, Huan-Wei received his Ph.D. from Taipei National University of the Arts (TNUA) in 2013. He studied percussion with Professor Ju, Tzong-Ching, Kuo, Kuang-Yuen, Hsu, Bor-Nien, and Wu, Shih-San. Lu has been a member of Ju Percussion Group since 1998. In 2002, he performed in the United States with the Taipei Wind Orchestra and Symphonic Band. In 2013, he held his first recital, “Absolute,” in Taipei and Kaohsiung, featuring several of his own compositions. He also composes works for Ju Percussion Group.

Lu is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Music at Chinese Culture University and Director of Ju Percussion Group. He also teaches at New Taipei Senior High School and Juvenile Percussion Ensemble.

Chen, Hong-Yueh received his master’s degree from Taipei National University of the Arts (TNUA) in 2008, where he studied with Professor Ju, Tzong-Ching. He also studied percussion with Chou, Yu-Hung, Tsai, Che-Ming, and Wu, Pei-Ching. In 2004, he was invited to collaborate with the Budapest Symphony Orchestra. In 2012, he was selected as a recipient of the IBT Rising Star Award and presented a solo recital at the IBT Concert Hall. In addition to performing, he has also written scripts for concerts, including the 2015 and 2016 Bean Babies Children’s Concerts.

Chen is currently Associate Director of Ju Percussion Group. He also teaches at National Taichung University of Education, Kuang Jen Catholic High School, and Juvenile Percussion Ensemble.

Wu, Shih-San joined Ju Percussion Group in 1989. She received her Ph.D. from Taipei National University of the Arts (TNUA), where she studied percussion with Professor Ju, Tzong-Ching. She also studied music theatre with Professor Gaston Sylvestre in France and received the “Médaille d’Or à l’Unanimité,” “Prix d’Excellence à l’Unanimité avec Félicitations,” and “Prix de Virtuosité à l’Unanimité avec Félicitations” at the Conservatoire National de Région de Rueil-Malmaison. She has presented solo recitals in both Taiwan and France and has devoted many years to the research and development of music theatre.

Wu is currently a Professor and Chair of the Department of Music and Director of its graduate programs at TNUA, as well as a senior member of Ju Percussion Group.

A specialist in six-mallet marimba performance, Wu, Pei-Ching holds a Doctor of Musical Arts from West Virginia University (2005) and a master’s degree from Northern Illinois University (1994). She studied with Ju Tzong-Ching, Robert Chappell, Rich Holly, and Tim Peterman. A founding member of Ju Percussion Group, she has been with the ensemble since 1986 and served for many years as principal percussionist. She is active internationally as a soloist, educator, and competition juror. She is the author of Performing with Six Mallets on Marimba: Exploration and Breakthroughs of the “Peiching Grip.”

Wu is currently a Professor of Music at Taipei National University of the Arts and a senior member of Ju Percussion Group. She also hosts Pei-Ching’s Percussion World on Bravo Radio and Taichung Classical Music Radio.

Ho, Hong-Chi joined Ju Percussion Group in 1987 and received his master’s degree from Taipei National University of the Arts (TNUA) in 1999. He began his percussion studies with Professor Ju, Tzong-Ching and later studied with Rich Holly and Robert Chappell, developing a specialization in Latin percussion. In 1992, he pursued advanced studies in percussion and Latin percussion at Northern Illinois University in the United States; two years later, he continued his studies in log drum pedagogy in Germany. He has been active in rhythm training and music education in Taiwan. His compositions “Dancing Rhythm” and “Drumming Fest” are frequently performed by Ju Percussion Group.

Ho is currently a senior member of Ju Percussion Group and Director of Juvenile Percussion Ensemble. He also teaches at Taipei National University of the Arts, National Taiwan University of Arts, Kuang Jen Catholic High School, and Polar-Light Percussion Group.
 

Hwang, Kuen-Yean joined Ju Percussion Group in 1992. He received his master’s degree in percussion and jazz performance from the University of Southern California in 1998 and his Ph.D. in percussion from Taipei National University of the Arts (TNUA) in 2011. He studied percussion with Professor Ju, Tzong-Ching, Kuo, Kwang-Yuan, and Erik Forrester. In addition to performing, Hwang is active as an arranger and composer and has arranged audio teaching materials for Ju Percussion Music School since 2002. In 1995, he was commissioned by the Japan Percussion Society to compose “Formosa,” which premiered at the Japan Percussion Festival in Tokyo. His 1998 work “Pacific Image” was performed by Seoul Percussion Group at the 1999 Taipei International Percussion Convention (TIPC).

Hwang is currently a senior member of Ju Percussion Group, President of the Taiwan Chapter of the Percussive Arts Society (PAS), and an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Music at TNUA.

Tai, Han-Chih received her master’s degree from Taipei National University of the Arts (TNUA) in 2012 and her Ph.D. in percussion from TNUA in 2021. In 2016, she was selected for the first “JPG Laboratory” incubator program. She and her percussion quartet, “Fource,” won first prize in the quartet category of the Taiwan International Percussion Competition (TIPCC) in 2017 and performed in the winners’ concert at the National Concert Hall. In September 2018, she presented her first solo recital, “Moi,” at Eslite Performance Hall. In 2022, she presented another solo recital, “Momento,” at the National Recital Hall. In June 2025, Tai Han-Chih and Kao Han-Yen presented the percussion recital “Inception” at the National Concert Hall.

Tai is currently a member and Assistant Artistic Director of Ju Percussion Group and a teacher of Juvenile Percussion Ensemble.

Kao, Han-Yen received his master’s degree from the Graduate Institute of Orchestral Instruments at Taipei National University of the Arts (TNUA). He is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in the Department of Music at TNUA under Professor Ju, Tzong-Ching. He previously studied with Cheng Shiang-Fu, Hsu Cheng-Hsin, Wu Pei-Ching, and Wu Shih-San. In 2013, Kao won first prize and the Audience Choice Award at the Universal Marimba Competition & Festival in Belgium. That same year, he presented his first recital, “Dream Departure,” in Taipei and Pingtung. He presented his second recital, “Stairs of Life,” in 2015 and won first prize in the Solo Marimba Category of the Italy Percussive Arts Society competition and second prize in the Italy Percussive Arts Web Contest in 2016. In 2017, he presented his third solo recital, “QIN.” From 2019 to 2020, he was selected for the third “JPG Laboratory” incubator program. In 2022, he presented his fourth solo recital, “ONCE.” In June 2025, Tai Han-Chih and Kao Han-Yen presented the percussion recital “Inception” at the National Concert Hall.

Kao is currently a member of Ju Percussion Group, Assistant Artistic Director of Ju Percussion Group 2, and a teacher of Juvenile Percussion Ensemble.

Lee, Pei-Hsun graduated from the Taipei National University of the Arts and received her master’s degree in 2004. Lee studied percussion with Professor Ju, Tzong-Ching, Wu, Pei-Ching and Hwang, Kuen-Yean. In 2003, Lee collaborated with Cloud Gate Dance Theatre’s 30th and 50th anniversary performance. In 2025, her solo recital “Le Sillage” was held.

Currently, Lee is a member of Ju Percussion Group and a teacher of National Taichung University of Education, Taichung Guang Fu Elementary School and Juvenile Percussion Ensemble.

Chen, Miao-Fei graduated from and received her master’s degree at the Taipei National University of the Arts (TNUA). She has studied with Hwang, Chin-Hsiang, Wu, Shih-San, and Professor Ju, Tzong-Ching. Chen joined Ju Percussion Group in 2000, and she was commissioned to teach at Shanghai branch of Ju Percussion Music School in China during 2009-2011.

Currently, Chen is a member of Ju Percussion Group, and a teacher with Juvenile Percussion Ensemble, Taipei Wego Private Senior High School.
 

Peng, Ching-Ying received her master’s degree at the Taipei National University of the Arts. She previously studied under Professors Han Li-En, Wu Pei-Ching, and Wu Shih-San. In 2019, Peng held her recital “One Last Story and That’s It” at the Eslite Performance Hall, and her moving performance was

well received. From 2023 to 2024, she was selected for the fifth "JPG Laboratory" incubator program. In August 2024, the crossover work “Things Unuttered but Unignored” was performed at the Taiwan Contemporary Culture Lab (C-LAB) as part of the invited program for the 2024 Wandering MUSIC FEST.

Currently, Peng is a member of Ju Percussion Group, and a teacher with Juvenile Percussion Ensemble.

Lee, Tsui-Yun is now studying her Ph.D. programs under Professor Ju, Tzong-Ching in the Department of Music, Taipei National University of the Arts (TNUA). She had been in Ju Percussion Music School since her early age, and graduated from Dept. of Chinese and Western Music in Taipei Hwa Kang Arts School, Department of Music, National Chiayi University and Graduate Institute of Orchestral Instruments, Taipei National University of the Arts. She has previously studied under Pei-Ching Wu, Shih-San Wu and Jing-Yi Yeh. In 2021 to 2022 she was selected for the fourth "JPG Laboratory" incubator program. In October 2022, the crossover work Perfashion was performed at the PLAYground, which is highly praised by its riveting contents.

Currently, Lee is now the member of Ju Percussion Group and also a teacher with Juvenile Percussion Ensemble.

Gold medalist in the percussion ensemble category at Festival Kesenian Muzik Malaysia 2012, 2015, and 2016. Honorary gold medal winner and gold medalist in the percussion ensemble category at Malaysia International Music Festival 2015 and 2016. Formerly studying under Sarah Barnes, Tan now studies under Professors Wu, Shih-San and Wu, Pei-Ching as a student of the Graduate Institute of Orchestral Instruments at Taipei National University of the Arts. As a member of Ju Percussion Group 2, Tan took part in the 2021 Post-Millennial Percussion “5, 4, 3, 2, 1” concert series, performing “We are Together” at Taiwan’s National Recital Hall. In 2022, as part of the Post-Millennial Percussion concert series, he performed “Youth Percussion” at Eslite Performance Hall. In 2023, he performed “Breakthrough” at Eslite Performance Hall as part of the “Heart to Heart”concert series.

Currently, Tan is an intern with Ju Percussion Group, and a teacher with Juvenile Percussion Ensemble.

After studying at Ju Percussion Music School from an early age, Chen went on to win the Jury Grand Prize in the Marimba Professional Youth A Category at the 2016 Taipei World Percussion Championship. She has studied under Cheng, Hsiang-Yao, Chen, Su-Ting, Yeh, Chin-Yi, Ho, Hong-Chi, and Suen, Ming-Jen. As a current student of the Graduate Institute of Orchestral Instruments at Taipei National University of the Arts, she now studies under Professors Wu, Shih-San and Wu, Pei-Ching.

As a member of Ju Percussion Group 2, Chen took part in the 2021 Post-Millennial Percussion “5, 4, 3, 2, 1” concert series, performing “We are Together” at Taiwan’s National Recital Hall. In 2022, as part of the Post-Millennial Percussion concert series, she performed “Travel Percussion” at Eslite Performance Hall. In 2023, she performed “Breakthrough” at Eslite Performance Hall as part of the “Heart to Heart”concert series.

Currently, Chen is an intern with Ju Percussion Group, and a teacher with Juvenile Percussion Ensemble.
 

Ho began her study of percussion from an early age at Ju Percussion Music School. She formerly studied under teachers Ho, Hong-Chi and Cheng, Ya-Hsin, and now studies under Professor Hwang, Kuen-Yean as a student of the Taipei National University of the Arts (TNUA) Graduate Institute of Orchestral Instruments. In 2021, she was awarded first place at the TNUA Emerging Young Artists Cultivation Project.

As a member of Ju Percussion Group 2, Ho took part in the 2021 Post-Millennial Percussion “5, 4, 3, 2, 1” concert series, performing “Sophomore Year” at Taiwan’s National Recital Hall. In 2022, as part of the Post-Millennial Percussion concert series, she performed “Youth Percussion” at Eslite Performance Hall. In 2023, she performed “Breakthrough” at Eslite Performance Hall as part of the “Heart to Heart”concert series.

Currently, Ho is an intern with Ju Percussion Group, and a teacher with Juvenile Percussion Ensemble.

Formerly a student of Huang, Chin-Hsiang, Lin, Yu-Shan, and Chen, Tzu-Ling, today Liu studies under Professor Wu, Pei-Ching at Taipei National University of the Arts (TNUA) Graduate Institute of Orchestral Instruments. In 2021, she was awarded first place at the TNUA Emerging Young Artists Cultivation Project.

As a member of Ju Percussion Group 2, Liu took part in the 2021 Post-Millennial Percussion “5, 4, 3, 2, 1” concert series, performing “Sophomore Year” at Taiwan’s National Recital Hall. In 2022, as part of the Post-Millennial Percussion concert series, she performed “Youth Percussion” at Eslite Performance Hall. In 2023, she performed “Spark” at Eslite Performance Hall as part of the “Heart to Heart”concert series.

Currently, Liu is an intern with Ju Percussion Group, and a teacher with Juvenile Percussion Ensemble.

Huang previously studied under Wu, Kuo-Hsuan and Hsiao, Hsiao-Ling. She is currently a student of the Graduate Institute of Orchestral Instruments at Taipei National University of the Arts (TNUA) under the tutelage of Professor Wu, Shih-San. She placed first in the xylophone category (13-18 age group) at the 2018 American Protégé International Concerto Competition. In 2021, she placed first in the TNUA Emerging Young Artists Cultivation Project.

In 2020, Huang joined the 4th Ju Percussion Group Laboratory Incubation Project. In 2022, at Taiwan Traditional Theatre Center Multi-function Hall, she performed “FORCE Percussion x Taekwondo.” Huang is also a member of Ju Percussion Group 2. In that capacity, in 2021, she performed “Sophomore Year” at Taiwan’s National Recital Hall as part of the Post-Millennial Percussion “5, 4, 3, 2, 1” concert series. In 2022, as part of the Post-Millennial Percussion concert series, she performed “Youth Percussion” at Eslite Performance Hall. In 2023, she performed “Spark” at Eslite Performance Hall as part of the “Heart to Heart”concert series.

Currently, Huang is an intern with Ju Percussion Group, and a teacher with Juvenile Percussion Ensemble.
